Tinapayan Bakeshop's Premium Cakes and Holiday Rolls

This Christmas season until the New Year's celebration, Tinapayan Bakeshop offers their newest selections of the Premium Cakes and Holiday Rolls. Loved by many Ilonggos for their budget-friendly and scrumptious cakes, pastries, bread and other desserts, Tinapayan has been catering to its customers for years now with or without occasion. But during holidays when its definitely the most special time of the year, families and friends gather to celebrate and cakes like these ones can easily be bought at any Tinapayan branch around Iloilo City for everyone to devour and enjoy.
Premium Cakes
For me, this cake first caught my attention among others. It's really the one that I would love to bring home to my family since I think they will surely love the perfect combination of the Oreo Cookie Base with Chocolate Mousse filling and the luscious whipped cream topping with Caramel and Walnuts.
With its Meringue base and sliced mango toppings with whipping cream, it is surely one of the most interesting cakes this season. Coated in order to remain sweet and fresh, the mango slices are the star of this creation.
I'm simply thrilled to know that the Banoffee Pie is back for the holidays. With its Graham Crumb Base topped with Sliced Bananas, Chocolate Ganache and a Caramel Layer covered with the Whipping Cream Topping, what more can you ask for? I hope that this one will be available for the whole year! I must try for all.
What is Christmas without the Red Velvet Cake? Laughs. But really, this piece of cake can add delight to the Noche Buena, Media Noche and the days in between as we celebrate the season. Its a classic that is loved by a millions around the world most especially during Christmas. Slice and savor the richness of the Red Velvet Butter Cake with its Cream Cheese Filling & Topping.
What makes this cake stand out and unique from others is the distinctive combination of Custard filling and sliced bananas with its Graham Crumb Base that doesn't break easily. Its savory toppings are made of whip cream and glazed banana slices.

Madge Cafe at Diversion road, Iloilo City

Madge cafe, the humble but famous coffee shop inside the public Market of La Paz now in its third generation of management by the Dela Cruz family has now opened its 2nd branch at Butlak Wellness Spa D'Salon at Diversion Rd., Mandurriao, Iloilo City.

Seeing a photo online of the spa's opening, I happened to drop by last December 13 knowing that there's a coffee shop in the place. Located beside Moonleaf Diversion (or Benigno Aquino Jr. Avenue), Madge Cafe Diversion was just in its second day of operation. Sir John welcomed me to the coffee shop. He is the older brother of Tito Peter at the cafe's main branch where hospitality towards customers is never compromised. I felt the same treatment even in their 2nd branch.
The famous coffee of Madge in La Paz Market really tastes good and is really affordable! That's the very reason why local coffee lovers patronize their coffee almost everyday and it's now the right time for the Ilonggos and their visitors to hang out and enjoy the coffee shop's 2nd branch in Diversion Road, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
One can choose to order coffee with milk in Mild, Regular and Strong coffee blend in Media Tabang, Media Regular and Media Cafe respectively or savor the richness of coffee without milk by ordering Puro Regular, Puro Tabang and Media Puro for mild, medium and strong blends respectively.
This is really how they serve their coffee in this mug, not so full. But it's all there. For me, I never leave Madge without a second cup, most especially when the conversation with friends go very well.
But this time it was just a cup for me. Unlike when I'm with family or friends at Tinda Lapaz, the second cup is always a must to fully boost me throughout the day. Their Milk Tea or Nai Cha is also good and is only available in this branch, go hot on rainy days and get the iced tea when the sun is up.
For years, they have utilized the turtle as part of their marketing design. This was started by their grandfather. And by the way, Madge came from their grandmother's name, Magdalena.
They also serve desserts for your sweet tooth to enjoy.

Since day one at Diversion road last 12-12-12, people are now flocking at the coffee shop from 7AM-9PM to satisfy their personal need for caffeine. Tourists now have an option to try the coffee of Madge here in Diversion road if they don't really have much time to go to La Paz.

I'm definitely coming back and it's surely one of my most recommended coffee shop in Iloilo.

Cafe Pueblo at Hotel Veronica

The moment we arrived at Roxas City, Sir Dino from the Tourism Office of the Province of Capiz brought us to Hotel Veronica's Cafe Pueblo for lunch. We were in the city's newest and soon-to-be the most exciting mixed-use, master-planned township and commercial development complex- Pueblo de Panay. Beside the hotel is El Circulo Convention Center and the on-goin construction of Roxas City's Robinson's Place mall.

Now it was time for me and for the rest of my fellow bloggers to enjoy the chic Pueblo cafe air conditioned room for our first meal together in this Experience Capiz Tour.

As the food got served, everyone agreed that we were indeed in the Seafood capital of the Philippines. It was such an amazing experience for me in getting to know Claire and Kara. I went to Roxas City with Regine, we were the only ones from Iloilo in this trip. I've known sir Estan since the Visayas Blogging Summit in Iloilo CIty that we the Iloilo Bloggers hosted in 2010.
Before we ate, everybody got busy taking pictures of these delicious-looking dishes that we were about to enjoy.
Everybody loved the seafood dishes and we were all delighted to answer when asked which kind of cheesecake we wanted for dessert. Almond or Blueberry.
I of course wanted to try the almond topping for the cheesecake since the blueberry is very much common in cakehouses around Iloilo. The presentation looks really good but I just wish that they can improve both of the cheesecakes' taste - with less cream.
Hotel Veronica is a must-visit place to enjoy when in Roxas City, aside from the cafe, another restaurant can also be found within the complex. Staying there and enjoying the night around can also be worthwhile. When the mall is completed, for sure more dining and other commercial establishments will be around this place.
It is truly "luxury away from home."
Hotel Veronica is located at Pueblo de Panay, Lawaan, Roxas City, Capiz
